BIOGRAPHYPamela Weiss is the founder of An Appropriate Response. She is a Buddhist meditation teacher, executive coach and trainer of coaches. Pamela has been a pioneer in integrating the principles and practices of mindfulness meditation into coaching and leadership development programs inside organizations. She has worked with executives, managers and teams within a wide variety of organizations including: Genentech, Oracle, Cisco, Intel, The Gap, Starbucks, Lululemon, Pacific Bell (AT&T), Turner Construction, Greenberg Qualitative Research, and San Francisco Zen Center. Pamela practiced Zen for almost twenty years, including several years of monastic training, and is now training with Jack Kornfield through Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Northern California. She leads a weekly meditation group in San Francisco, teaches mindfulness classes in organizations and offers retreats internationally. Please refer to the "Schedule" for a listing of upcoming events. |
Pam's coaching draws on the Integral approach of Ken Wilber and New Ventures West, a coach training company in San Francisco, where she was senior faculty for over a decade. Pamela's style is practical and accessible, helping clients open new possibilities, generate new behavior, and deepen their experience of authenticity, influence, fulfillment and meaning. Her strength is in developing people -- their presence and power, their interpersonal skills, and their ability to self-reflect and self-observe so they can tap their own internal wisdom. ![]()
