2008 Schedule of Offerings Buddhism is a living tradition passed warm heart to warm heart over thousands of years. As it moved from country to country and cuture it culture, it has been shaped and formed by the universal human aspiration for truth, love and freedom, and also by the unique needs and concerns of the time and place. Six years ago I began offering a series of programs weaving the richness and depth of Buddhist teachings and practices with the efficacy and skill of Integral Coaching. My hope was to create a new form—a kind of monastery without walls—to address the yearning I heard from friends and colleagues wishing to deepen their spiritual life within a warm, lively community of support. This aspiration has continued and expanded in the past year as I began a formal, four-year teacher training process with Jack Kornfield at Spirit Rock Meditation Center. Offerings in 2008 include: - An ongoing Wednesday night Dharma Group at the Unitarian Church in San Francisco. - A five-day retreat at Jikoji Retreat Center (south of San Francisco) over the 4th of July. - The 4th Annual Weekend Retreat in the Pacific Northwest in October. - Additional Bridgeline Seminars, begining in the Spring.
